Unveiling of P1000 Galaxy Tab @ Mobilink Samsung Google Meetup

31 Dec
As I am typing words onto my laptop, I see the crowd poring in and settling into the cozy conference room where seats are elegantly placed. Badar is still busy finalizing few minor details about the meetup where as Jehan-ara is roaming around and is quite contended with what she has jointly achieved with other veteran IT professionals. Sound of sweet music is in the air and it is going to be a great successful event…

Like Stickers – Try Them On

17 Dec

Footstickers by Frieke Severs. There are many advantages of bare feet sporting: better motion control, more feeling in your feet and direct floor contact, etc. In this way you are more grounded and more aware of your feet and movements. Its also a good training for stronger feet. But a disadvantage is the risk of injuries, you can easily twist or slip. The footsticker improves the activity and keeps the bare foot feeling! The flexible material feels like a second skin. This footsticker gives you more grip, support and protection.

Anti Sleep Pilot

17 Dec
The Anti Sleep Pilot a gadget that keeps you awake and safe while you driving using reaction times from tests. "In addition to monitoring your driving using an accelerometer, the Anti Sleep Pilot will give you a little reaction test every once in a while. It will make a sound and turn orange, at which point you have to smack it as fast as you can. The longer it takes you to do this, the more concerned the device gets about your reaction times, and if you're too slow on four tests in a row, it will turn an angry red and demand that you pull over and rest. "

Need Help With Translation – Let Your Cellphone Do it for you via Word Lens

17 Dec

If you frequently travel, the application we’re about to tell you about may pique your interest. Word Lens is an application developed by Quest Visual that uses your iPhone’s camera to translate text from one language to another on the fly. Try to envision what would happen if Yelp’s “Monocle” feature were to be mashed together with Google Translate. Launch the application, aim your iPhone’s camera as some text, and the translation is done on the fly without a network connection. Currently, the app can only translate from Spanish to English (or vice versa), but Quest Visual is promising that more language packs are on the way.

The application is “free” to download, but each language pack must be purchased within the app for $4.99. We downloaded the app along with the Spanish to English pack and let it loose on our Spanish dictionary, and… we’re impressed. We also wish we had this application while taking high school Spanish. Seeing is believing, hit the jump to watch a short demo video the company put together.
